Teledentistry (TD) refers to online dental care that avoids physical contact between patient and clinician, its use was essential during the CoViD-19 pandemic. We present the case of a patient who requested dental care via WhatsApp. The intraoral examination through photographs and videos received via WhatsApp was performed, a whitish plaque was observed on the tongue, which was detached by scraping, additionally it was observed gingival inflammation and erosive lesions on the labial semimucosa. The images received confirmed the diagnosis of oral pseudomembranous candidiasis (OPC). Treatment and follow-up were carried out and oral hygiene habits were reinforced. Follow-up photographs showed a satisfactory response to treatment. We emphasize the utility of teledentistry as a practical, useful and agile tool to provide dental services in post-pandemic. We emphasize that, although with its limitations, teledentistry is a useful and efficient tool to provide primary remote health care.
