EVALUATIVE APPROACH OF THE INTEGRAL CHILDREN CLINICS IN THE SANTO TOMAS UNIVERSITY, BUCARAMANGA

From the clinic perspective of the integral attention of the kid, the evaluation system adopted to value and grade is focused in the possibility of a more conscious, responsible and right learning from the students of dentistry faculty in Universidad Santo Tomás, and also to bring about the dialogue on the practice and the contexts in which it is built, on a critical reflection oriented to the qualification of the service that demands the growing patient. The sequence of the development of the practice based on supporting activities, previous model, practice preparation, and its development and reflection for, from and after the practice, generating the possibility to find new pretexts (collectively and individually) to grade itself permanently and that requires new criteria and clinical and community performance indicators to improve them even more. In that way, the perspective of complexity and integrality of the students practical formation for the performance in the dentistry clinical attention to the growing patient, allows to deal with it as a total procedure that conduces to an integral health of the patient, more than seeing them as a difficulty, and also decreases the fractionation and mechanization of the procedures when you only look for the performance and the effectiveness that guarantees fast profits in short time. The purpose of this article is to present the experience of collective construction of the teachers in the field of Paediatrics dentistry to promote the permanent reflection from everyone involved in the process in order to get better results in the teaching, in the benefits of the patient and the formative process of the dentistry clinics.
